Challenge
Welcoming new students to McMaster University required a clear and engaging way to introduce the wide range of dining options available across campus. The campaign needed to communicate multiple food court locations, highlight limited time menu offerings, and remain visually compelling within busy, high traffic environments. Capturing student attention while delivering useful, navigational information was central to the project’s success.
Approach
A cohesive video and still graphic advertising system was created to function across digital screens throughout campus dining areas. Messaging was structured to be concise, energetic, and easy to digest at a glance, while vibrant food photography and bold typography reinforced appetite appeal and clarity. Content was designed to guide students toward different food courts, promote featured items, and maintain visual consistency across all hospitality touchpoints. Each asset was optimized for vertical digital displays to maximize visibility in high movement spaces.
Outcome
The campaign successfully introduced students to the variety of dining experiences available on campus while increasing awareness of limited time offerings. Clear wayfinding visuals and dynamic promotional content enhanced student engagement and strengthened the overall hospitality brand presence throughout McMaster University. The project demonstrated the ability to blend promotional design with functional communication in a fast paced campus environment.
